Discipline
We are looking forward to an exciting and successful year with your child. In order for every child to achieve the utmost success, it is important that he or she is following the classroom rules and expectations. Communication between home and school will be an important part of your child’s success.
Here is what to look for:
- Each day your child will have the opportunity to earn P.R.I.D.E. This will appear in the agenda as a stamp.
- If you child continually does not follow the rules or has a serious problem during the day you will see a note from the teacher in the agenda. Please note that this means we have talked to your child many times regarding this behavior or the problem was significant enough to receive immediate attention. (We do not write in agendas unless it has significantly affected the learning process.)
- Within the classroom there will be several options for rewards and consequences. Examples of consequences may include: student/teacher conferences, behavior mapping, notes in the agenda, lunch time out, or an office referral. Possible rewards include: wing blings, monthly P.R.I.D.E. rewards and individual classroom rewards.
We are excited to begin another school year and are looking forward to making this a successful year. If you have any questions throughout the year, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.
